CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Our care tips to keep your Arsène et les Pipelettes garments looking their best
At Arsène et les Pipelettes, we put our whole heart into designing garments that are soft, long-lasting, and respectful of both your skin and the planet. To preserve their beauty and comfort over time, here are a few everyday care tips to follow.
Cotton, linen, or hemp garments
We recommend washing your cotton, linen, or hemp pieces in the washing machine at 30°C (86°F) on a cotton cycle, turned inside out.
Ironing should also be done strictly on the inside, especially for printed T-shirts, to preserve the quality of the prints.
Recommended spin speed: maximum 800 rpm.
Knitwear
Contrary to popular belief, knitwear washes better in the machine than by hand, which tends to be too harsh on the fibers.
Choose a cold wash or a maximum of 20°C (68°F), using the wool cycle or the “hand wash” cycle if your machine has one.
Fasten all buttons, Velcro, and zippers to prevent the knit from snagging.
Use a special wool detergent, without fabric softener, and a very gentle spin at 400 rpm.
Tumble drying is prohibited: it damages the fibers. Opt for flat drying on a towel, away from direct light.
Coats and jackets
To preserve the cut and materials, we recommend professional dry cleaning for your coats, jackets, and parkas.
Stain removal: our home tips
And if, like us, you’re not a stain-removal expert…
Here are a few natural and effective remedies to save your favorite pieces:
White vinegar (diluted with water) for almost all stains.
Fuller’s earth for grease stains.
Ox gall soap for stubborn stains.
Hot milk to remove ink.
Always use cold water (never “set” a stain with hot water).
And of course… a good dose of elbow grease!
Thank you for taking care of your pieces the way we took care in creating them.
