Today, we’re heading to Seignosse, to Loan’s home, for this new issue of Arsène and Family.

Meeting Loan and Her Daughter Roma

It is in the heart of the Landes forest that we meet Loan and her daughter Roma, aged 12. A Franco-Australian family, Loan met her husband Andy 20 years ago in Sydney. “Originally from Biarritz, we moved to the Landes in 2022 to be closer to nature, family, and friends.”

A Life Between Sydney and Hossegor

At the head of her digital marketing agency, 27 Degrés Media, with offices in both Sydney and Hossegor, she divides her life between France and Australia, where she returns every three months.

Passionate about her work, her days start early: “I usually wake up around 5 or 6 a.m. and begin my day with video calls with the team or clients in Australia, who are at the end of their afternoon…”

Organization is key for Loan, who structures her days to always make time to share moments with her daughter Roma. “Andy takes Roma to school and I pick her up. Then it’s either ballet class (Roma is a little ballet dancer) or ceramics classes together on Wednesday afternoons.” Evenings are spent as a family: a time to reconnect and share a good meal cooked by “Chef Andy,” the nickname given to her husband. On Friday nights, it’s pizza and ice cream: “and sometimes homemade pizza,” she adds with a smile.

Traditions and Rituals

As she explains: “I’m someone who loves traditions. Since Roma was 5, I’ve set up a gingerbread house workshop with friends at Christmas where we build our houses and fill them with sweets… all with the perfect soundtrack, of course!”

A home full of love and kindness: that’s what you feel when you’re at Loan’s. You only have to see the bond between her and her daughter, and the exchanged glances that say it all.
“We try to pass on to Roma traditions, respect for others, and kindness. Not to make quick judgments and to always try to put yourself in someone else’s shoes to understand their point of view.”

Values that naturally reflect their daily life and family life.
“For me, a happy home is one where everyone is free to say what they think while respecting others. A place where you feel good and safe, where spontaneity is welcome, and where you can smell cookies baking in the oven!”

The Story with Arsène et les Pipelettes

Spontaneity and freedom: values that truly resonate with us at Arsène et les Pipelettes, and undoubtedly the reason a connection was formed with the family.

“We discovered the brand when we returned to France at the beginning of 2022. We noticed the beautiful boutique in Hossegor and fell in love with its adorable children’s outfits, full of joy and sunshine!” The story continued, as Roma was even one of our models when she was younger.

“It’s a playful, sunny and fun brand,” Loan explains. “I love the colors and the quality of the products that last over time—although,” she laughs, “children grow up too fast! So I’ve even bought some items two sizes bigger!”

Our meeting with Loan and Roma comes to an end. A gentle, simple and sincere moment. A huge thank you to Loan for welcoming us into her home and sharing a part of her daily life with us.
