Arsène and Family is our new get-together. Each month, we invite ourselves into the homes of our friends, loved ones, collaborators—people we care about, who inspire us and who reflect the DNA of Arsène et les Pipelettes. We set out to discover their families, their worlds and their values, for a friendly moment just between us. Come on, we’re taking you along!
Meeting Caroline
It was in Bidart that we were welcomed into Caroline’s home, together with her two children, Paloma (5 years old) and Marius (9 years old).
As she tells us:
“In our family, there are four of us: two adults trying to stay on course, and Marius and Paloma whose job is to remind us that control is an illusion.”
Finding balance is not always easy in a life that moves at full speed. A day at their place begins with the famous morning marathon that all families know: “Mom, there’s no cereal left!”, “Mom, I can’t find my shoes!”, “Can you sign this note? It’s super urgent!”.
The House of Happiness
In the evening, after a day of work or school, it’s time to slow down and unwind. Their home is a truly warm cocoon where you instantly feel at ease.
“We come together, debrief, laugh, play and philosophize: ‘Why do you have to sleep if you’re not tired?’”
At Caroline’s, it is above all a place where everyone is free to express themselves and be who they are.
“In our home, it’s a place where you can laugh loudly, leave socks lying around, and tell improbable stories without being judged.”
The photo shoot is just like them: full of laughter and good vibes. These are the values Caroline and her partner want to pass on to their children:
“We want to instill in them the freedom to be themselves, a sense of humor, and the sacred art of finding their shoes before heading out!”
For Paloma, who has already modeled several times for Arsène et les Pipelettes, the exercise is child’s play. She has fun and, between two shots, doesn’t waste a minute asking Fred, our photographer, to show her the photos.
A Joyful Tribe
The story between our brand and the family began by chance, during a walk in Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
“As we were strolling along, we came across the shop. We went in just to have a look… and came out with a bag!”
Poetic, cool and untamed: these are the words that come to Caroline’s mind when she talks about the brand.
“I love the charm of soft fabrics, the slightly wild and free-spirited feel.”
A free spirit—that’s what Arsène et les Pipelettes is all about: curiosity, playfulness, having fun and never taking oneself too seriously.
Their family ritual, she explains, takes place in the kitchen around the famous “Sunday crêpes,” but with more flour on the floor than in the batter!
Before each Christmas, they also have their own little tradition: “We make a homemade decoration. The result is often surprising—it’s become our own little annual museum of conceptual creations.”
As the shoot comes to an end, we leave their home feeling as though we’re part of the family.
